It's Official

We're home! Nate, Claire, and Sophie all left the hospital this afternoon. Freedom! I'm happy to report everything is going great. On Friday, I went to the City Hall of the 13th Arondissement at Place d'Italie (see photos of the City Hall and the Italian marketplace just outside below) to get her birth certificate written up and officially placed in our "Livret de Famille"--a booklet that documents weddings, children (there's room for 10 children in the book! Better get workin'...), and the like. So Sophie Anne is official, on the French side at least. This upcoming Friday we have an appointment at the U.S. Embassy to file for her U.S. citizenship and passport.

Thanks to everybody who has contacted us to wish us their congratulations and support! It's been really wonderful to have such good friends and family over the past 9 months.
